The PURPOSE of Leadership?
Take a drive to my Ferrari.
What is your ‘fast car’?
A home perched on a rocky ridge overlooking the Great Karoo,
A snow-skiing vacation at Hahnenkamm Lodge,
A month re-reading your favourite books,
A pampering at Singita Sabi Sand,
A Sony Xperia 1V mobile phone,
An Alessandro Gagliano cello,
A Cannondale mountain bike,
A trip to the edge of space.
If this all seems a bit facetious — it is meant to be:
- If you have completed the Alpha Programme, I am hoping to help you stay aligned with the influential leadership purpose.
- If you have not yet joined up, I want to trigger your thoughts regarding the question (What is the purpose of leadership?).
So, this edition of the Alpha Weekly Notes is to emphasise that:
- The purpose of our leadership must be embedded in our thinking to come out in our practice.

Everything has a purpose — as we do too.
