Influential Leaders make things Work…
At the heart of the influential leadership system is social agency — our capability to think, choose and act.
Such a construct is thus defined by personal responsibility, no matter what.
The universe rolls the dice, or in our Alpha metaphor, deals the hand of cards — we must play to our fullest extent, whether we get a six or a one, a joker or a jack.
It is the perfect acceptance of this condition that empowers us to be influential leaders.
As soon as we start hunting for excuses, reasons why we are not responsible, why it is someone ese’s business, we know we have moved out of influential leadership’s behavioural parameters.
It is not an easy position to take — being consciously responsible — especially when we are under the cosh, or when it feels that the universe has been grossly unfair (although we know the universe has no sense of fair or unfair, it just is).
These conditions matter not — just #keeP_pedallinG!
BTW. Have you noticed that wherever you find a mess, in peoples’ personal lives, their homes, teams, businesses, or country, you’ll also find a huge responsibility gap? Just look around…
