What a delightful insight from the Greek philosopher Heraclitus; 2,500 years old, but still apt! *
Let us be reminded what a leadership moment is:
A social circumstance that activates the practice of influential leadership.
Influential leadership equips us to be able to recognise the river for what it is: an opportunity that must be ‘stepped into’.
Also, it enables us to stride into the river with leadership knowledge and skills, founded on a leadership- philosophy, principles and behavioural attributes that deliver us successfully to the other side.
Underlying our capability to tackle leadership moments is the power of our social agency, to take personal responsibility for what we do, to take others with us, and to achieve the desired outcome.
To change people’s lives for the better, ours and others, we must recognise the river, and be prepared to step into it.
See the river, step into it.
