The One Who Needs You
As you go about your life today, at home, school, your workplace, on vacation… look for Leadership Moments that recognise your neighbour—do what you need to do.
Who is my neighbour?
…treat your fellow human being as yourself’, He said.
But, who is my fellow human being, asked the wily lawyer?
I’ll tell you, He replied.
A man was attacked, robbed and left injured alongside the highway.
A Jewish priest came past, saw the injured man; he kept walking…
Another priestly fellow came along too, but likewise swept past after a glance at the battered foreigner.
Eventually a pagan Samaritan stumbled on the scene, and taking pity on the injured man, assisted him, and paid for his convalescence.
So, which of these three people practiced good neighbourliness?
The merciful one.
‘Go! Do the same!’
